How does this information connect to what you already know? What new information or ideas did you see that extended your learning or caused you to stretch your thinking? What challenges, puzzles, or questions come to mind? First, watch the video, Electric Circuits on Brainpop.
Then, read the two-page article on Electric Circuits. While watching the video and reading the article make sure to take notes that will help you respond to the question. Use a T chart to help keep all of your ideas and thoughts organized. Make a claim that answers the question - How does electricity travel through an electric circuit? Be sure to include evidence from both the video and the article to support your claim. Read the article titled "Waiting For Change", then read the second short informational selection titled "A Penny's Worth" that follows it. Respond to the question - Should the United States continue to use pennies? Use the Claim, Evidence, Reasoning format to respond. Write your response in your Thinking Journal first, then type it into the blog.
Explain how the Wampanoag attitude toward the Pilgrims changed from when the Pilgrims first landed to after the Thanksgiving feast. Use a least two details from the interview with Fast Turtle to support your thinking.
