I think we should not us pennies anymore because it cost two cents to make a penny. The people who make the pennies pay more money to make something that cost less. They are just wasting money.

No,because if it costs 2 cents to make a 1 cent coin it is defitnely not worth because you are paying more than the coins worth. For instance,"The value of the penny has been dropping for years. In 2006, it began to cost more than a penny to make a penny. It now costs 2¢ to produce a 1¢ coin".My evidence makes sense because do yuo think paying more money and getting less value I Don't.

Another pice of evidence is "It's a good business for Jarden—since 2000, the company has earned more than $800 million. But it may not be a good deal for the U.S.because people are spending more moneey and wasting their money. Another example is Many experts disagree with ACC and ACC stands for Americans for Common Cents. I also disagree because if you spend money and you want it back you just losed your money.

I think they should get rid of pennies. Reasons why they should'nt keep the penny is it cost 2 pennies to make 1 penny. Also other countries have gotten rid of the penny without raising the price. And charities don't seem too concerned either. Major George hood of the salvation army does not seem botherd if they take out the penny, he says "If pennies were removed, the savation army hopes that the american public will still donate. My evidence supports my claim because it tells all the reasons why pennies should be removed

I think people should keep the penny because without the penny we could become more reliant on the nickel. A lot of people want to keep the penny like 67% of americans. Many people are feared they would end up paying more for products. If we get rid of the penny , people would have to end up paying more and the products will be more expensive.

No copper pennies because 1 penny costs 2 cents to make. Obama says to use cheaper metals, not like copper, and I agree because somebody paid $1.7 billion for 1 copper penny, and because the U.S. can save money by doing that.

I think the United States should keep the pennies one reason is because lots of people like to give stores exact amounts and if we don't have pennies we can't give the exact amount.another reason is when the cashier has to give change they might have to give you less change or more change.and it's just not fair we will have to depend on our nickels and then they will have to make more nickels and have you ever heard the " Every Pennies Worth".
